Seasonal Game Day Technical Director - Cincinnati Reds (Cincinnati, OH)

Job Title:       Seasonal Game Day Technical Director

Reports To:  Senior Manager of Entertainment and Productions

FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare switcher each game for live production
  • Perform as Technical Director for any pregame, in-game and post-game events.
  • Follow script and leads from Game Day Director and Game Day Producer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in live production using a Sony switcher.
  • Works well in fast-paced, pressure situations.
  • Has strong listening skills.
  • Understands how the switcher is set up.

Schedule-Must arrive 1 hour and 30 minutes before game time. Flexibility in scheduling is required and will involve some evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to work all home games.

  • Follow leads from game day director and producer.

  • Experience operating Chyron's Lyric 8.8
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Must have strong knowledge of baseball and Reds statistics.
  • Works well in fast-paced, pressure situations..

Broadcast: Producer
Production Editor - Texas Rangers (Arlington, TX)

Job Summary: Responsible for producing various media elements for the Texas Rangers across multiple platforms including Ballpark Entertainment, Social Media, and other organizational departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to the following):
• Produce, shoot, and edit features for in-game, social media, and website
• Produce, shoot and edit features for Rangers Foundations community events.
• Assist in shooting press conferences and commercials
• Assist in development of creative ideas for in-game, social media, and website
• Assist in upkeep of AVID Interplay and EVS asset management systems
• Assist in control room on game days
• Other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related production degree
• Minimum 3 years experience shooting, editing and producing content.
• Experienced user of ENG cameras, XDCAM preferred, and other production equipment such as lighting kits and audio equipment
• Experienced user of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects and Photoshop
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Preferred knowledge of AVID editing systems, including Media Composer, Interplay, & ISIS
• Preferred knowledge of Social Media platforms, compression codecs, and game day control rooms
• Preferred knowledge of Control Room equipment such as EVS, Chyron, Daktronics – Show Control and Venus products, routing panels, and VTR’s
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with the ability to meet deadlines, understand the need for last minute changes and multi-task.
• Must be able to lift/carry production equipment between 20 to 40 lbs.
• Must stand during shoots ranging from 30 minutes to 10 hours.
• Will be required to work all home games, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Will have events that require shooting on evenings, weekends, and holidays
