Field Technican - Miami Marlins (Miami, FL)

We are in search of a Field Technician, someone who is an enthusiastic, self-starter to support our client, the Miami Marlins. You will be part of a passionate bunch of people, driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation whose mission is to deliver world-class ticketing products and services that provide value to our clients and partners, with profitability to our stakeholders.

You will be working at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida ensuring that all Tickets.com equipment in an assigned geographical area is well-maintained and quickly repaired when it breaks down.  You will accomplish this through regular preventive maintenance visits and troubleshooting/repairs by phone or in person.  You will be required to carry a cell phone at assigned times and respond promptly to any issues as well as provide support and training for all outlets.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Repairing all Tickets.com system-related peripheral equipment. 
  • Performing preventive maintenance and repair, as needed on all equipment such as thermal ticket printers, computers, monitors, terminal servers, handheld ticket scanners, Cisco routers, and networking and data communications gear. 
  • Troubleshooting repair problems via telephone.  Site visits can be reduced by effectively troubleshooting over the telephone.
  • Making regularly scheduled preventive maintenance visits to all assigned client and ticket center locations.
  • Continually improving your understanding of current technical issues, devices and technologies associated with Tickets.com systems.  Ensuring an understanding of Tickets.com system wiring, connectivity and methods for utilizing device indicators to assist in troubleshooting.
  • Providing support and training for all outlets.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Nice to have:

  • Minimum two (2) years Technical experience
  • Technical Degree or equivalent. A+ and Network + preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Detail oriented, organized, proven ability to follow up on tasks

We are searching for a User Experience Designer who will be an essential individual contributor within a project team, focusing on development or redevelopment of products & features.  Primary responsibility is translating corporate product goals into a user friendly and efficient design by applying industry standard usability methodologies such as human factors engineering, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing. Shall also identify and research newer technologies for inclusion in the company’s products and services.  This position will work to improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of web sites in collaboration with user interface designers and developers, project management, system engineers, and software developers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work collaboratively to translate business requirements, user goals and creative strategy into engaging experiences.

  • Create wireframes, user flows, use cases, personas, site maps, interactive screen prototypes, and conceptual models to clarify and refine  and define products using a variety of tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Dreamweaver and languages/tools such as  HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS.

  • Observe, conduct and analyze qualitative and quantitative user research, such as focus groups, interviews and surveys and rapid iterative usability testing of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

  • Research newer technologies for relevance, market penetration and compatibility for possible inclusion in all products and services.

  • Assist product management and feature teams in defining functional interaction requirements specifications.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience with writing semantic, modular front end code utilizing HTML/HTML5 & CSS/CSS3 while complying with best practices.

  • Experience with Sass and LESS is a must

  • Experience with creating responsive web and mobile applications from scratch

  • Must have the ability to develop pixel perfect web and mobile applications

  • Must exhibit strong UI and UX design skills

  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Materialize, etc.

  • Basic understanding of JavaScript and jQuery

  • Excellent understanding of composition, color, imagery and typography.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will be an essential individual contributor within a project team, focusing on development of new products & features. This engineer will design, code and test medium to large software modules as they apply to a specific product. They will also perform requirements analysis, create functional designs, and detailed design specifications as they relate to the implementation of the software.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, code, and test medium to large software modules
  • Own short term planning of IT projects and programs, creating the requirements analysis, functional design, and detailed technical design specifications as they relate to the implementation of a software module
  • Participate in the development of larger modules which may also include collaboratively authoring requirements analysis, architectural designs, or detailed design tasks under the direction of a more experienced engineer
  • Write technical documentation
  • Develop software using at least one programming language and platform
  • Utilize source control tools and related build systems, pipelines, etc
  • Write & maintain unit & integration tests, contribute to CI efforts
  • Install and configure software development tools, packages, etc
  • Debug and correct problems in existing software
  • Estimate the complexity of a certain task and an appropriate schedule
  • Provide direction to less experienced engineers
  • Resolve complex software problems/bugs via advanced debugging techniques
  • Follow all company standards, including the software coding standards document

Technical Requirements:           

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) is required
  • At least five (5) years of Java programming experience, object oriented analysis, design and programming
    • Candidate must have in depth knowledge of Jboss or similar J2EE container, Hibernate or another O/R mapping tool, native JDBC concepts and implementations
    • Candidate must have hands on experience with Spring MVC, JSP, JST, and related Java web container technologies
    • Experience in a J2EE application server environment utilizing JMS, JNDI, clustering, and related technologies
  • Experience in Oracle or other DBMS systems, very fluent in SQL & DML constructs critical
  • Experience in an enterprise transactional environment, integrating with TIBCO or a messaging bus product, a plus
  • Background in developing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.) for internal and external integrations critical
  • Experience with SOA or Microservices type environments, a plus
  • Experience in HTML, JavaScript, JSON, CSS, etc client-side technologies critical
  • Experience developing with various third-party JavaScript libraries, such as Angular, React, jQuery, Prototype, Yahoo! UI, Dojo, Google, etc. a plus
  • Experience with reporting platforms / tools, analytics, etc a plus
  • Box Office Management or other ticketing experience a plus

Interpersonal Requirements:

  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees
    • Specifically to work cooperatively with software engineers, system administrators, product managers and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision and in a team environment
  • Experience as a group leader a plus

We are searching for an NOC Technician who will be responsible for monitoring the health of mission critical systems associated with both the Tickets.com internal infrastructure and vital customer-side TDC deployed systems. NOC Technicians work closely both with each other and our various tech teams (Development, Systems Engineering, Database Admin, Network Engineering, etc.) to ensure our monitoring is applied in a deliberate, measured, and precise way. The NOC provides both first line support in troubleshooting and is integral to quickly building conference calls with additional resources for ancillary support as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Foster and leverage formidable insight into Tickets.com infrastructure to facilitate escalation, resolution, and documentation of incidents/issues.
  • Assist in execution of change controls and software upgrades via automation.
  • Solve problems directly or coordinate problem resolution between internal/external parties.

 Additional Functions:

  • Follow all company standards and policies.
  • Work on long term projects to improve NOC tools or procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned by NOC Manager.

 Position Requirements: 

  • General knowledge of networking, Linux based systems, and Windows based systems.
  • Ability to work independently to complete complex projects and tasks.
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and various web browsers.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally.
  • A flexible schedule is required. This position will involve weekend and evening support.
  • Effective self-directed time management.

Additional Positive Experience:

  •  Any experience with our monitoring tools: SolarWinds Orion or Splunk; is a plus.
  • Technical Degree/certifications (completed or some completed) a plus.
