Graphic Artist/Illustrator/Designer (Entry level position) - Atlanta Braves (Atlanta, GA)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Creating concepts, designs, presentations, execution, production, and development of brand and identity systems, including brand identity and collateral design in print and environmental media. Examples include:


o Direct mail collateral
o On-line creative
o Season Ticket collateral
o Publication design
o Print creative
o Internal communications


• Negotiate production details and costs associated with all projects as appropriate

• Ensure production of materials is completed to our quality standards and on a timely basis
 

• Assisting with marketing/media planning and execution as needed

Core competencies/skills preferred:


• Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Outstanding conceptual thinker with design skills who is organized, self-motivated and has a strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and switch gears dependent on project priority
• Ability to communicate with vendors/printers about deliverables
• PC and MAC Proficient, including extensive knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Ability to take creative task from inception to fruition -Basic knowledge of varied material formats required to deliver print/collateral to vendors
• Ability to conceptualize and execute multiple design options and extensions within a designated time and budget
 

• Expertise with the following software programs:
o Adobe Suite (Lightroom, Acrobat Professional, Flash CS3, Illustrator CS3, InDesign CS3, Photoshop CS3, Stock Photo CS3)

The Applications Systems Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing and implementing web based and/or packaged applications to support the operation of the Internet, Intranet and Extranet applications using the latest Microsoft tools and technologies. The Applications Systems Developer reviews, analyzes and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installation to support the applications systems of the organization. Seasonal Archivist and Photography Assistant - Oakland Athletics (Oakland, CA)

The Oakland Athletics are seeking qualified a candidate to work as a Seasonal Archivist and Photography Assistant in the public relations office at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum during 2010 regular season.

The position will receive $6,500 in payments over the course of the 2010 season. While daily hours are flexible, this person is expected to be available a minimum of two hours before each A’s home game and continue to work until each game’s conclusion. Starting date is April 1, 2010 and the position ends October 3, 2010. If the team advances to the playoffs, this position’s end date will be the day after the conclusion of the A’s participation in the postseason.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Upload and caption all Oakland A’s digital photography on the team’s computer server, sorting by player and games.
• All photo archives are expected to be up to date within one week of the photo being taken.
• Minutes after every home game, it is required for this person to gather digital discs from the Team Photographer and upload on A’s computer network.
• Must be available to shoot photos at a minimum of six non-baseball events during the season. If the event is off-site (not at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum), the A’s will provide mileage reimbursement, according to the standard practice for its employees.
• When schedule permits, this position will be afforded the opportunity to shoot A’s home game action under the supervision of the Team Photographer.

Internship (Motion Graphics/Visual Effects) - Tampa Bay Rays (St. Petersburg, FL)

Spring/Summer 2010

Duties & Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Multimedia Coordinator and other RaysVision personnel to discuss and assist in fulfilling the department’s motion graphics needs
• Work in conjunction with RaysVision staff to execute game-day audio/visual presentation
• Prepare individual elements on a daily basis for each specific game and series (i.e. headshots, statistical graphics and team elements)
• Assist in the development of the organization’s sponsorship needs while satisfying each sponsors’ individual brand identity
• Serve as a production assistant for RaysVision video shoots (lighting, grip, etc)
• Represent the Club in a positive and professional manner at all times

Qualifications
• Motion graphics experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop & Illustrator required
• Ability to multi-task while producing accurate, high quality work within specific deadlines
• An understanding of 3D software such as Maxon Cinema 4D or Zaxwerks Pro Animator is a plus
• Technical audio experience including Adobe Soundbooth is suggested
• Experience with Daktronics Venus 7000 software is a plus
• A working knowledge of an NLE is preferred (Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Experience with designing animations for LED ribbon boards is recommended
• The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to correctly use punctuation and grammar
• Strong knowledge of baseball is preferred
• Knowledge of Windows and MAC platforms
