Job Description:
The Atlanta Braves Career Initiative Program was founded by Hank Aaron and Rubye Lucas as an opportunity for minorities to gain experience within the Braves front office. The individuals who participate in this program are paid $9.00/hour, but are not entitled to benefits (i.e. insurance, vacation, etc.).
The Career Initiative Program is open to any qualified candidate who is entering their junior or senior year in college as well as graduate level students with at least a 2.8 GPA. Cover letters and resumes should be submitted prior to February 28, 2010 for the 2010 season. The Career Initiative Program begins in mid-May and concludes in mid-August. The specific area in which a candidate will gain experience is Community Affairs. Participants in this program are expected to work at least 37.5 hours per week and may have additional game day responsibilities (depending on department assignments).

Media Relations Internship - Florida Marlins, L.P. (Miami, FL)
The Media Relations Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the media relations department as directed by the director and manager of the department.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain newspaper clip files and electronic clip files for all front office executives, players and coaching staff. Copy and distribute daily clips to front office staff.
• Assist in the daily preparation of the team’s game notes and post-game notes.
• Assemble, copy and distribute daily statistical information to front office staff and media (stat packs, gamenotes, minor league stats, press releases, lineups, media guides).
• Prepare statistical reports as needed for executive and coaching staffs.
• Assist in the credential distribution process and media services.
• Assist in production of team publications, including regular season and post-season media guides.
• Serve as statistician for broadcasts as requested by the national or local networks.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Must work flexible hours including weeknights, weekends and holidays.
• Possess good computer skills to include but not limited to microsoft windows, word, excel, email, internet, desktop publishing (quark/pagemaker).

The Corporate Sales Intern will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the entire Corporate Sales Department and team marketing partners in all areas as needed. Duties include but are not limited to service, fulfillment, and execution of all elements of every partnership agreement. Maintaining sponsor relations, entertaining, hospitality and game operations.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain excellent business relations and communication with all corporate sponsors and prospects as needed.
• Assist with the fulfillment of all contracts to satisfy team obligations and sponsor expectations.
• Monitor and communicate sponsor feedback to maintain integrity of all business relationships
• Coordinate and track all sponsor season, group, and suite ticket distribution and catering needs
• Coordinate sponsor parties in Hall of Champions, Legends Club, Sports Town, Picnic Area, and Club Level, including tickets, catering, merchandise and entertainment and set up.
• Assist with the planning of annual sponsor trip.
• Execute all sponsor follow up of special events and proof of performance, promotions, including photographs and thank you notices.
• Develop and update corporate sales revenue distribution sheets and reconcile
• Assist with season, group, suite tickets and all hospitality events.
• Track and maintain record of all media exposure, newspaper clips, photos, feature stories, etc.
• Assist with notifying all sponsors of deadlines and securing all necessary materials.
• Assist with and maintain records for quality control management of all Corporate Sales assets such as signage, print, promotions, premium items, merchandise giveaways, hospitality venues.

Our 2010 Internship program will offer the up and coming hospitality professional a great opportunity to immerse themselves in a full service sports and entertainment venue. We are looking for dedicated individuals who have the enthusiasm and customer focus needed to fulfill our service promise of creating special experiences one guest at a time.
Each internship will last from March-October and will offer hands-on experience in concessions, commissary (warehouse) and/or operations in one of our premium service areas. You will have an opportunity to be exposed to our business, develop your management skills and determine if you would like to pursue a career in our industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The College Ambassador Program is aimed at students currently enrolled in a university in the state of Wisconsin, preferably UW-Milwaukee, UW-Madison or Marquette University. The goal of this program is to find dedicated staff to participate in community, campus and ballpark events as Ambassadors of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club. Qualified individuals should be comfortable speaking in front of a large audience, have superior people skills and be involved in student life at his or her university.
If you are going to be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in the 2010-2011 academic year, and you have a passion for sports, include a resume and cover letter expressing why you would be perfect for this position. In your application, please describe any background you have in marketing, advertising, fan support and/or promotions through work or school engagements.
The most successful students in the program will be chosen to take on additional intern responsibilities in the Consumer Marketing Department of the Brewers Front Office during the summer months. The College Ambassador Marketing & Promotions Internship runs from March through the end of the 2010 Brewers season, with required weekly meetings held at Miller Park and the unique chance to be a part of Milwaukee-area events and festivals throughout the baseball season.
