Facility Operations/Security: Event Guest Relations
Guest Services Manager - Arizona Diamondbacks (Phoenix, AZ)

Purpose:
The primary focus of this position is to manage the day to day operations of the Guest Services and Guest Relations game day staff which consists of approximately 400 employees. Additionally this position is responsible for providing superior customer service via written, phone and face to face communication in response to guest related problems and concerns.
 

Primary (Essential) Duties:
1. Responsible for the day- to-day management of the Guest Services and Guest Relations game day staff with the help of two additional Guest Service Managers.
2. Responsible for providing superior customer service via written, phone and face- to-face communication in response to guest related problems and concerns.
3. Develops and manages the training, hiring, scheduling and disciplinary action when needed for the Guest Services and Guest Relations game day staff.
4. Acts as a liaison with other departments regarding ballpark policies and procedures as it is related to upcoming games and off-season events.
5. Advises the Director, Event Services of issues, on-going problems, offers suggestions for solutions; follows-up to ensure issues are addressed and problems resolved within the department and in a timely manner.
6. Prepare for upcoming events, monitor attendance, monitor game day staffing numbers and adjust as needed, make any phone calls needed to get additional staffing.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
• Able to handle time sensitive requests/changes; work in fast paced and high-pressure situations.
• Strong work ethic and excellent follow-through.
• Exhibit strong decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (professional, friendly and outgoing personality).
• Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management or related field
  • 3 years of event management preferred
  • Experience in conflict resolution, preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including excel, word, access and power point).
  • Proven employee management experience with game day staff.
  • Experience with developing and implementing training policies and procedures.
  • Experience with ABI is preferred.

Budget Responsibilities:
• Helps develop and oversee the Guest Services and Guest Relations yearly budget.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
• Walk and stand for long period of time.
• Move tables and chairs.
• Lift 50 pounds.

Facility Operations/Security: Custodial/Housekeeping
Housekeeping Attendant - Arizona Diamondbacks (Phoenix, AZ)

Description:

The Arizona Diamondbacks are seeking a highly motivated individual, with the ability to work independently, to join their Building Operations Team.

Responsibilities:

  • General and detail cleaning of bathrooms, locker rooms, offices, and hallway areas
  • Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning glass, and re-stocking paper product dispensers
  • Move furniture as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Attention to detail and excellent work ethics
  • Able to operate floor cleaning equipment  (ie vacuum and buffers) as needed
  • Able to work independently and follow-through on work instructions
  • Able to adhere to dress close guidelines, and present a neat and groomed appearance
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality guidelines
  • High School dipolma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, go up and down stairs constantly and repeatedly throughout        shifts.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds as needed
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
