Primary Duties:

·   Plan and execute Radio Affiliate Night and the Broadcast Dinner

·   Track accounts payable and receivable for department budget

·   Coordinate travel itineraries for broadcasters and broadcast staff

·   Maintain tracking of all air checks from KTAR and KSUN

·   Respond to all fan feedback

Job Purpose:

Job Purpose

Develops and manages all Talent Acquisition and Retention strategies, tactics, programs and plans for the front office Team Players, part-time Team Players and Interns of the Arizona Diamondbacks.  As a Team Player and Manager on the HR Team, she/he collaborates with other managers, directors and executives across the organization, to hire retain and develop the best talents in the industry.  Together with other HR Team Players, she/he will develop and train to provide backup for all priority responsibilities.   Responsible for continuously participating in the reinforcement of the great culture of the organization, actively supporting Team Player events, and teambuilding/development opportunities.

Primary (Essential) Duties

  • Drive  each stage of the recruitment and talent acquisition process for all full-time and part-time, Front Office positions
  • Work with Baseball Operations to assist with recruitment supporting: recruitment, selection, contracting, applicant tracking, and additional unique aspects of talent acquisition
  • Assist in developing recruitment resources and acquisitions for Levy Restaurants (premium, concessions and merchandise partner) in conjunction with Levy and the Special Projects Team of the Arizona Diamondbacks
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to scope open positions and develop job descriptions while determining appropriate and effective job boards and candidate locations,  to identify and attract a diverse and well-rounded candidate pool

Experience/Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience in a professional role, sports industry a plus
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar degree required with an advanced degree advantageous.
  • Experience in all areas of Human Resources with a concentration on the people side (recruitment, retention, talent and performance management, training and development).

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Responsible for utilizing office equipment.

Baseball Operations: Team Administration/Operations
Research & Development Baseball Systems Intern - Arizona Diamondbacks (Phoenix, AZ)

The role of the Baseball Systems Intern is to assist and support the Diamondback’s Research & Development group in the maintenance and support of hardware, software and other systems.

Primary (Essential) Duties:

1. Assist the Baseball Systems Lead Architect with maintenance and improvement of current database infrastructures, while also managing interaction with multiple outside data sources.

2. Assist with the processing and maintaining of data feeds from various sources via Rest API and XML/JSON loads.

3. Assist with the database performance tuning, security, developing high availability solutions, replication, and solution strategies.

4. Plan, design and implement special projects at the direction of R&D staff.

5. Other Duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

D-backs executives will provide training on relationship based sales fundamentals, and allow attendees to showcase their talents for Inside Sales hiring managers.  Candidates who impress during the forum will be interviewed & potentially offered a position on the D-backs Inside Sales team.

D-backs Inside Sales provides a full time entry-level platform for ambitious & career minded individuals to gain the training, experience, & connections necessary to build a long-term career in the sports industry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports daily to the Inside Sales Manager
  • Works a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Makes 80-100 touchpoints (via phone call, email, text message, & social networking) per day from provided lists to set up face to face appointments at Chase Field
  • Becomes proficient in all aspects of the ticket sales business, including retention of current clients, and selling ticket packages, group events, & premium suites. 
  • Answers incoming single game calls with the ability to up-sell callers into packages, groups, and suite rentals
  • Maintains computerized records of all season ticket customers and prospective clients with our CRM system.
  • Works games, nights, weekends and holidays as assigned (i.e. answer phones, work sales booths, visit clients)
  • Represents the D-backs in the most positive way on game days when interacting with clients and prospects at D-backs sales tables or at their seats
  • Attends weekly staff meetings and Continued Sales Training
  • Prospects and qualifies all potential sales opportunities in addition to the provided leads
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Inside Sales Manager

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

            Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. 

            Gameday:  Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights.  Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related field (or graduation date pending in Spring 2018)
  • Attention to detail including excellent time management and organizational skills.

Sales & Marketing: Ticket Operations
Ticket Specialist - Arizona Diamondbacks (Phoenix, AZ)

Job Purpose: This position is responsible for coordination of projects within the Ticket Operations department as assigned by the Sr. Manager and Director, Ticket Operations.

Primary (Essential) Duties

1. Complete billing, payment and processing for all Single game luxury suite sales.

2. Support Suite Services with all ticketing needs related to suite season ticket accounts.

3. Act as direct contact and liaison for suite lease holders for day of game and urgent requests

4. Manage all internal ticketing process for corporate partner and trade accounts

5. Work with Corporate Partner and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all accounts

6. Oversee special projects as assigned by the Director, Ticket Operations.

7. Create and maintain reports utilizing the Ticketmaster ticketing system and BI tools.

8. Provide support and direction to all box office functions.

9. Supervise box office and staff.
