Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for selling Season Ticket Plans, specialty Packs, All-Inclusive and Group Tickets, as well as providing service to existing and prospective customers.  This is an entry level position which provides for extensive training that may lead to opportunities to transition to positions in the Ticket Sales Department and other departments within the organization.  The terms of this position include a two year employment agreement.  This position is expected to begin on or about January 6, 2015 and continue until the end of baseball 2016.  Candidates must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

 

 Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Sell season ticket plans, multi-game ticket packs, all-inclusive and group tickets through daily phone calls and email leads.
  • Actively prospect and research new sales leads.
  • Work in tandem with the Season Ticket, Premium and Group Sales departments to establish a seamless transition from sales to service.
  • Provide excellent customer service during meetings with customers, during phone conversations and via email.
  • Cooperate with Ticket Services to respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer issues.
  • Assist with game day responsibilities at all home games including pre-game entertainment, customer visits in suites and all-inclusive areas and other service-oriented duties.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned to assist in the success of the Ticket Sales department and the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management or related field preferred.
  • Experience in sports industry at college level and/or minor/major league level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.). Ticketing system experience preferred.
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally in the sports industry.

Summary of Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position will be to design, create, and build video graphic elements, and to edit story features or elements that may air at the ballpark. This is a part time, seasonal position.

Essential Functions of the Job:
• Animate video elements for in-game entertainment.
• Animate create supporting elements for advertising assets.
• Assist in Cardinals video post-production needs.
• Edit features to air at Busch.

Education and Experience Required:
• 2+ years of experience with Avid Nitrus Systems.
• 3+ years of experience with AfterEffects and PhotoShop.

Sales & Marketing: Event Operations/Management
Special Events Coordinator - St. Louis Cardinals (St. Louis, MO)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

Sell, coordinate and manage the execution of internal and external special events.  The primary goal of this position is to use excellent customer service to close sales, plan and communicate details and flawlessly execute special events.  The efforts of this position contribute to the department goals of increased revenue on non-game days.  Currently the department hosts over 400 events and photo sessions per year with over $1.3 million in annual revenue.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Facilitate sales of venue areas and event programs.  This includes providing comprehensive information by phone and e-mail, conducting sales tours with potential clients and designing event programming with client’s objectives in mind.
  • Prepare and provide accurate contracts, invoices and layouts to clients.  Manage client payments and contract adherence.
  • Coordinate daily department activities.  Includes answering phone calls and e-mails, hosting sales tours, providing special event information, updating facility coordination schedule, creating and distributing function sheets and layouts, managing host schedules, generating event sales proposals.  Also assist others in the department as needed.
  • Plan, organize and produce events with internal and external clients and coordinate event operations with other departments, Sportservice and outside vendors.  Distribute pertinent event information through accurate, detailed function sheets and layouts.
  • Coordinators must anticipate potential problems and address client concerns and unforeseen/unexpected situations in a professional, efficient and effective manner.  These situations include inclement weather, guest medical and safety issues, equipment failure and inappropriate guest behavior.
  • Manage operations of non-baseball events to ensure that facilities are setup properly, the venue is clean and staff is prepared for the event.  Supervise event staff and monitor catering operation.
  • Coordinators are also responsible for: managing Special Event Host staff; aiding in creation of Special Events marketing and PR efforts; maintaining Special Events photo library.
  • Manage the Special Events calendar.

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field.
  • 3 years related experience in hospitality, special events or other service industry; or combination of years of experience and education.
  • Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Visio.
  • Knowledge of event management software (USI experience preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
  • 2 years related experience in hospitality, special events or other service industry; or combination of years of experience and education.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Visio preferred.
