Sales & Marketing: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
Account Services Coordinator - St. Louis Cardinals (St. Louis, MO)

Summary of Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for contract fulfillment for corporate sponsors of the St. Louis Cardinals which includes fulfillment of: tickets, hospitality, special events, player related elements, sponsor recaps, generating sales leads and day of game requirements.  The position is a portion of overall contract fulfillment for $34 million in business on the corporate sales/radio sales side of the business in addition to creating and providing programs that support $150 million on the ticket sales side of the business.

 Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Coordinate, plan and schedule the elements of each assigned Corporate Sales agreement which include: in-stadium advertising, spot writing and media placement, tickets and hospitality fulfillment in order to effectively fulfill all contracted elements for each St. Louis Cardinals sponsor and to deliver above expectations and increase the renewal rate of the team’s long-term partnerships.
  • Complete execution of required game day events and activities which include: script writing, pre-game ceremony fulfillment, promotional giveaway detail assignment and in venue customer visits.
  • Assist Director of Corporate Sales and Player Liaison with player relations and the marketing assets that require roster player participation in order to effectively communicate with the team manager and players and utilize them as an asset in an efficient manner for the organization’s corporate clients.
  • Proficient usage of Microsoft Suite to create sponsorship proposals and recaps for Account Executives in preparation for client meetings to create informative and attractive proposals in the sales process and the recap process for each sponsor.
  • Support and coordinate premium or promotional item distribution with the Promotions Manager.
  • Support Director and Account Executives in approval process of ad placements, logo approvals and media copy.  Ensure satisfaction on all account deliverables to provide efficient fulfillment of time sensitive requests for approval by clients.

 Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 2+ years experience in sales and service preferably within the sports industry; or combination of education and years of experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A thorough understanding of the sales and service process with a history of mid to large account relationships and experience servicing customers within the sports industry.
  • Proficient in event coordination, management of the client service process.
  • Experience developing and executing events for sponsors and/or high profile clientele.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the sports industry sales processes and timelines.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends and holidays.

Baseball Operations: Media/Video Production
Editor / After Effects Operator - St. Louis Cardinals (St. Louis, MO)

Summary of Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position will be to design, create, and build video graphic elements, and to edit story features or elements that may air at the ballpark. This is a part time, seasonal position.

Essential Functions of the Job:
• Animate video elements for in-game entertainment.
• Animate create supporting elements for advertising assets.
• Assist in Cardinals video post-production needs.
• Edit features to air at Busch.

Education and Experience Required:
• 2+ years of experience with Avid Nitrus Systems.
• 3+ years of experience with AfterEffects and PhotoShop.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook).
• General knowledge of production.

Internships: Any Internship
Stadium Operations Intern - St. Louis Cardinals (St. Louis, MO)

This position is planned to run congruently with the 2015 Cardinals Season, set to start early February. 

Summary of Responsibilities:

To support and assist the Stadium Operations department, including but not limited to: event staff support, lost and found, wristband counts, incident reports, data input and analysis, green team, volunteer support, guest relations support, security systems support, and building operations support.  This position must be available for days, nights, and weekends and the candidate must be eligible to receive school credit upon completion of the internship. 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Answer emails and phone calls after each event to get lost and found items returned to guests.
  • Manage the daily wristband distribution for party rooms, suites, Cardinals Nation, etc.
  • Manage the Daily Fredbird card distribution.
  • Assist with picking up the monthly nomination awards, Busch Bucks.
  • Assist with on-field ceremonies and employee distributions to employees as needed.
  • Input incident reports into ISS system.
  • Assist in Base Station as needed to enter incident reports during an event.
  • Walk around the building prior to the game and make sure there are not necessary issues to be taken care of prior to the game.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited program at a College or University required with a degree emphasis in Sport Management, Event Management, Business or Engineering, at least Junior year.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to stand on feet and walk comfortably for long periods of time, carry and handle packages and uniforms up to 25lbs.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited program at a College or University required with a degree emphasis in Sport Management, Event Management, Business or Engineering, or a related field, and at least Junior year.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to stand on feet and walk comfortably for long periods of time, carry and handle packages and uniforms up to 25lbs.
  • Abilty to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
