Ball Girl - Texas Rangers Baseball Club (Arlington, TX)

TRYOUTS TO BE HELD FOR RANGERS BALL GIRLS The Rangers are looking to hire a staff of eight ball girls who can represent the organization in promotional situations as well as perform duties on the field. Resumes are now being accepted until February 14, 2015, for the ball girl position. Callbacks for those qualified applicants will begin on Wednesday, February 18th. Tryouts by invitation only will be held on Sunday, March 1st.

Qualifications for a Rangers Ball Girl include:
*Must be 18 years old
*Must have strong communication and public relations skills
*Must be athletic (softball experience required)
*Knowledge of the game of baseball
*Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, energetic personality
*Flexible schedule (must be willing to work early AM, nights, weekends and holidays)
*Must be at least 18 and a resident of the Greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area
*Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Intern, Customer Service - Texas Rangers (Arlington, TX)

Responsibilities:
• Assist with Customer Service, Seasonal Employment, Parking and Security Departments
• Assist with all Seasonal Employee functions, including the coordination and supervision of special events, picnics, and any other event at Rangers Ballpark

• Assist with daily in game activities including managing Foundation Kiosk at all Rangers home games

Intern, Player Relations - Texas Rangers (Arlington, TX)

INTERN JOB SUMMARY
The Player Relations Intern is a part-time, paid internship that begins in January and continues through the entire 2015 Texas Rangers’ Season. Regular Season concludes in early October. Should the Team advance to the playoff games, Post Season ends by early November.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Daily office functions include monitoring incoming/outgoing documents for departmental fax machines and printers
• Manage all aspects of incoming Texas Rangers’ fan mail and Players’ fan mail received by the department in an efficient and timely manner. Open, sort, organize, distribute and respond to recipients in accordance with departmental guidelines
• Ensure that mail items associated with Former Texas Rangers Players’ are distributed with outbound mail within a timely manner
• Provide assistance to department by assembling and distributing items such as goody bags and facilitating special requests
• Assist staff by answering and appropriately responding to phone requests and departmental inquiries
• Assist staff by “handling” incoming phone calls and mail items received by the department from Fan Feedback
• Provide assistance with special projects and departmental duties, including Game Day activities (nights and weekends)

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Able and willing to work flexible hours - including holidays, nights and weekends, as required
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment

Six Shooter Squad - Texas Rangers Baseball Club (Arlington, TX)

The Texas Rangers Six Shooters Squad is a female interactive squad that will perform at Texas Rangers baseball home games and home playoff games. Game presentation activities include prize giveaways and trivia contests and also performing dance routines and skits with Team Mascot. Six Shooters members will perform these tasks live in the stands and on ballpark concourses and also on the stadium scoreboards. The Texas Rangers Six Shooters will also make appearances at season ticket holder events, Texas Rangers Foundation events, and corporate sponsor events, and any approved event that promotes Texas Rangers Baseball.

Qualifications:
• Must be able to perform activities and interact with fans on camera in front of 40,000+ people. Prior entertainment experience preferred.
• Squad will wear cheerleader-styled attire. Previous experience as a cheerleader, pep squad, or drill team member or some dance classes recommended.
• Individuals must have outstanding communication skills and a positive, energetic personality.
•They must also have stamina and fitness level capable of performing in conditions of summer heat.
• Individuals must be available to work during Rangers home games and other special events as needed. • Must be reliable, punctual, and courteous.
•Good listening skills and ability to work with brief instruction required.
•Must also be flexible and able to handle situations with a quick and professional response.
• Applicant must be 18 year of age or older and a resident of the Greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area. •Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Hiring will be handled through a screening and audition process. Interviews and tryouts are by invitation only. For those accepted, formal interviews will be held on February 20th, and formal auditions will be held on February 21, 2015.
