Event Security Guard - Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (Scottsdale, AZ)

Definition: This position will provide security to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick with a service attitude towards employees and guests of Salt River Fields. Guards will be trained in security and safety procedures to protect the stadium and surrounding property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal activity. Event security guards will assist patrons, conduct bag checks, alcohol control, enforce venue policy, and manage crowds.


Essential Functions:

  • Greet employees and guests with a friendly attitude
  • Walk facility and conduct security checks
  • Conduct bag screenings
  • Perform alcohol control and entry/exit control
  • Crowd control
  • Drive security vehicle and conduct security checks

Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold, or be capable of obtaining at own expense, a current and valid Arizona Security License
  • Must have previous security, law enforcement, or military experience
  • Must hold, or be capable of obtaining, a valid Arizona Driver’s License
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must have outstanding customer service
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary


Desired Qualifications:

  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification

Professional Development Fellowship Program - Salt River Fields (Scottsdale, AZ)

About Salt River Fields: Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is the Spring Training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.  Salt River Fields hosted its inaugural Cactus League Spring Training season in 2011 and continue to set attendance records each season.  Outside of Spring Training, SRF hosts numerous events, concerts, and festivals.

Definition:  The Professional Development Fellowship (PDF) will be exposed to all areas of Salt River Fields business operations during an intensive 12-month immersion into the organization.  The PDF will receive regular feedback about development, and take part in a cross-functional mentorship program to enhance organizational and career development.  

The ideal PDF candidate will have a strong background in the sports and entertainment industry with a passion to further his/her career in the industry.

Essential Functions:

·       Participate in cross-functional projects that provide learning opportunities

·       Be the point-person with responsibility for oversight of multiple events

·       Represent SRF in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public

·       Assist with the planning, preparation and execution of events at SRF

·       Assist with the setup and breakdown of events

·       Assist with social media and other advertising campaigns

·       Act as a representative of SRF in meetings

·       Complete a capstone project that will benefit SRF and pitch the proposal to the SRF Board

·       Other duties as assigned by the department heads

Definition: Under limited supervision from the Ticket Manager and Assistant Ticket Manager the Ticket Sales Agent will provide excellent customer service while administering the sale and distribution of game tickets.

Essential Functions: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with the best guest experience possible while administering the sale and distribution of game tickets in person and by phone at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Responsibilities include balancing cash receipts and tickets at the beginning and end of each shift, providing information regarding pricing, availability and seating locations throughout the ballpark and performing duties according to ticket office policies and procedures guide.
