Sales & Marketing: Corporate Sponsorship Sales Department Management
Event Sponsorship Coordinator - Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (Scottsdale, AZ)

Job Functions:

  • Generate revenue through the sale of corporate partnership relationships and facility rental opportunities
  • Effectively qualify leads and maintain an active pipeline of potential business opportunities
  • Foster existing corporate partner relationships to ensure retention and growth
  • Network and build positive long term relationships with key decision makers
  • Maintain proof of performance of advertising materials and point of sale pieces
  • Assemble sales proposals and pitches
  • Responsible for partnership activation at events including hospitality, tickets, space procurement, etc.
  • Coordinate activation of partnership assets during festivals and events 
  • Assist and engage with prospects and partners during events and Spring Training games
  • Develop ideas for new sponsorship/marketing opportunities for SRF festivals including but not limited to: signage opportunities, retail promotions, pre-events, website exposure, social media features, etc.
  • Create, develop and maintain partner obligations for collateral, articles, photographs, newspaper clippings, press releases, statistics, etc. for use in preparing and presenting inclusive sponsor recaps to key decision makers during the contract renewal process
  • Office duties include photocopying, scanning, filing, date entry, and mailings
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of successfully selling corporate partnerships in sports or other related industry
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week and evenings, weekends and holidays based upon operational needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work with many different personality types
  • Strong time management and administrative skills
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays to meet business needs
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time during games and events
  • Able to lift and carry boxes up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time

Internships: Marketing
Social Media and Marketing Intern - Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (Scottsdale, AZ)

Description: Salt River Fields is looking for a creative and driven Social Media intern to assist in running various social media platforms for our special events.  Under the direction of the Event Marketing Coordinator, the intern will assist and observe with various projects assigned by the Special Events department. 

General Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Researching and writing social media content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.
  • Assisting with creating, administering, evaluating, and creating new ideas for the social media plan designed to promote special events
  • Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including event planning and execution, special projects and other duties to be assigned
  • Assisting with onsite event management, set-up, activation and breakdown as it relates to social media activation
  • Observing and participating in event logistics and execution
  • Gaining practical knowledge of event marketing and lead up activation of sponsors 
  • Monitoring analytics with marketing team to identify viable ideas

Qualifications: 

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal (including phone work) and written communication skills 
  • Basic computer processing skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic design knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design programs
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat and other emerging social media platforms
  • Interest in Special Events and/or Sports Industry
  • Basic Marketing knowledge preferred
  • College coursework or comparable work experience preferred

Compensation: $10 per hour; College credit is highly encouraged and available upon school approval.

Time: This is a part-time internship (25 hours per week on average); the hours and time commitment are flexible to be set between the supervisor and the internship candidate prior to the start of the internship.
