Director of Ticket Sales-Brooklyn Cyclones (Brooklyn, NY)

The Brooklyn Cyclones, the Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, seek an experienced sales professional to oversee the day-to-day management of our ticket sales efforts. The Director will be asked to plan, implement and oversee ticket sales for one of Minor League Baseball’s most successful teams.

The Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for growing sales in full season tickets, ticket plans, group tickets and luxury suite sales.

Job Summary:
• Assist in developing and executing ticket sales plan and marketing strategy.
• Manage the day-to-day sales efforts of our ticket sales department of four to six account executives ensuring that all ticket sales goals are met.
• Design benefits for customers to purchase ticket plans and group outings.
• Develop promotions and programs to target specific community and business organizations for ticket plans, group sales and hospitality options.
• Assign contact lists and monitor call logs.
• Create and execute theme nights, appreciation nights and heritage events to increase ticket sales.
• Maintain sales reports and graphs as needed.
• Work with all departments and staff members within the organization on promotions and ticket sales initiatives.
• Secure meetings with businesses and other local organizations.
• Attend business, community and youth organization functions (including youth baseball parades and games) to develop relationships with potential customers.
• Responsible for maintaining and growing a database of current and potential fans.
• Manage the creation of brochures and direct mailing pieces.
• Ensure a high level of customer service.
• Director of Ticket Sales will be expected to work all games, nights, weekends, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum of three years experience in professional sports ticket sales with a track record of selling tickets and managing in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong leadership skills with ability to sell and teach others to do so. Self motivated and detail oriented individuals with the desire to work long hours are essential.
